hemp coconut wax

I am a soapmaker who has just recently started making candles. I've tried and tried to use soy wax and quite frankly, I hate! It's a pain in the butt to use. I started searching for a wax that was eco-friendly, easy to use, no paraffin wax, and makes a beautiful candle. This wax was so easy to use! It makes a beautiful candle and my customers love that it's paraffin free. This is my favorite wax! I will be purchasing this wax from now on.

I poured my first candle with this wax today. Aside from a very small dip it was perfectly beautiful on first try. The dip was prob. Due to a few things I didn't do right. Such as I heated the wax too high on accident, my jars were cold on a granite surface. I think that small dip can be fixed. About the was: According to the shipping guy answering the phone there at SCS, the wax is heated to 175° then f.o. added at 140° and stirred and then wax is poured right away at 135°. This is a great pour temp for using plant based fragrances or terpenes which are fragile and burn off at higher temps. Also, The guy said The wax Melt point is 125°. What he did not know and I very much DO need to know is the gravity of this wax for accurate fragrance oil calculations. Please let me know asap. I will be buying more of this wax and will be using it in my candles until I can find or create a vegan hemp wax, no soy, no palm, no paraffin... that can be completly sourced in North America for a smaller footprint. Perhaps hemp and apricot seed? Or hemp and rapeseed? or hemp and candelilly? Or a combo? Something that is truly sustsinable that doesn't pressure tropical forests.
